Networking, innovation and digital transformation for a sparkly innovative edition
The first edition of ILLUMINOTRONICA (LUMI) in Bologna, from November 29th to December 1st, has been a success.
With more than 6,000 industry professionals gathering together (architects, engineers, installers, system integrators, energy and facility managers, buyers and technical offices of companies and local authorities) the exhibition confirmed to have become a reference point in the new integration market for the application of IoT (Internet of Thing) technologies in many different sectors such as lighting, building automation and security.
ILLUMINOTRONICA won its bet. Thanks to its innovative layout, high technological and educational contents, demo and live areas and interactive laboratories the show was able to give an effective response to the market demand and the operators needs.
Following digital transformation
Promoted by Assodel (the Italian Association of Electronics Clusters), the event represented the new integration market by highlighting the ways of doing business with IoT bringing, for example, over 35 successful case histories.
Many different application markets and topics were covered in the 95 training and conference sessions: digital retail and experience design; eco-sustainable design and near zero emission building; services for the smart city and the circular smart city model; building management and energy saving best practices; smart lighting and interconnected light; privacy and digital security; connectivity and communication protocols.
ILLUMINOTRONICA (LUMI) presents itself as a new model of trade show. It focuses on matching the demand and supply of innovation, with the aim of supporting digital transformation in the built environment.
“LUMI – explains the general manager of the fair Elena Baronchelli – puts in synergy the professionals of the supply chain and brings together system integrators, designers, installers, software and hardware manufacturers. The goal is to represent the ecosystem of integration: from technology to applications through connectivity, bringing new business opportunities to companies and professionals”.
Given the success of the event, confirmed by the adhesion of over 200 participating companies and by Bologna Fairground, ILLUMINOTRONICA now launches the LUMI project for the 2019 edition. Next year, thanks to a stronger partnership with BolognaFiere, LUMI wants to achieve the goal of digitization in the built environment sector including all different spaces (offices, shops, buildings and urban environments).
