Development of innovative intelligent building solutions covered in scheduled seminars
The Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology fair is preparing for the open of its 2014 edition. This year’s show, which is scheduled to run from 3 – 5 September at the Shanghai International Expo Centre, will host a record-breaking 180-plus exhibitors across 11,500 sqm of fairground space. This reflects over 30% and 15% annual increases in exhibitors and exhibition space, respectively. Visitors can discover the latest intelligent and energy efficient building technologies, home technologies and generic cabling solutions at the fair.
Once again, the show is jointly organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Shanghai Pudong Sub-Council and Shanghai Hongshan Exhibition Service Co Ltd. Ms Lucia Wong, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt Shanghai Co Ltd stated that, “Celebrating its 8th edition, the fair has confirmed its status as the most comprehensive annual platform on intelligent building technology for the China market. Each year, we evolve to cope with market trends. As the smart home market continues to grow, this year’s fair will feature more renowned exhibitors from this sector, including ABB, Savant, Control4, AMX, Wulian, KNX, EnOcean, DOOYA, Nantong Bound IOT, Vane, Hi-Champ, VeeYi, HDL, ORVIBO, i-tone, T & J Electric, TCS and many others. They will convene at one central platform to showcase in-demand smart home products and solutions.”
Three featured zones address new building developments surrounding data centres, energy efficiency and smart homes
Apart from focusing on smart home development, the Shanghai fair has also developed three new zones with designated themes to address the most pressing issues currently affecting the industry. The following zones are designed around the show’s core areas of building energy efficiency, data centres, generic cabling and home technology.
• Building Energy Saving, Energy Management & Building Automation Zone
Supported by the Committee of China Energy Conservation Association, this zone will host leading enterprises focused on products and solutions in energy conservation and management as well as automation technology.
Other prominent brands being displayed include Longchuang, HaiLin, Delta GreenTech, Mered Automation, Lierda, SenseAir, Uiot IoT and Maxthing.
• Data Centres and Generic Cabling Zone
This zone, co-organised with China Data Centre Committee (CDCC) and China Cabling Team (C-TEAM), plans to capitalise on the opportunities on big data. Here, visitors will find several leading brands in data centre solutions, cabling products and accessories, such as Rittal, Legrand, Tiancheng, CNGR-IT, Zhongheng Electric, Envicool, Premium Line and Nissen Cable.
• Home Technology Zone
Co-organised with the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA), this zone will make its debut this year by showcasing exhibitors involved in the development of audio and video systems, associated components, home theatre equipment, multimedia systems and overall system integration solutions. Renowned brands such as AMX, Savant, Cinemaster, Nanpeng, INESA and Wisehome have confirmed their attendance.
In addition to the three themed zones, the fair has partnered with the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association to establish the Hong Kong Pavilion. Leading brands like YOUDO, XAMMAX, AMC, iLighting and others will showcase and demonstrate quality LED and related smart technologies and products.
Also, huge demand for smart hardwares and gadgets in daily life is the byproduct of rapid development of the Internet. The special “Smart Hardwares and Gadgets Innovation Experience Zone” has been created to address such demand and facilitate industry innovation.
