Building automation specialist B.E.G. will launch a new range of KNX lighting control solutions at Light + Building 2016 in Frankfurt, Germany this month.
The German manufacturer’s Sixth Generation KNX Occupancy Sensor is being introduced with completely re-engineered hardware and software.
Now the hardware has been streamlined and allows the detectors to be mounted to a much lower depth which makes installation simpler and easier, especially for false ceilings with limited space.
The new B.E.G. KNX devices are available with an integrated acoustic sensor, temperature sensor.
The lighting adjustment has been improved which means the single PIR sensors can be activated independently and separate areas can be turned off by setting parameters via the Engineering Tool Software (ETS) software.
Different brightness levels can be programmed inside the room as the B.E.G. KNX Occupancy Sensor has an integrated offset control and more complex allocations can be set up with the integrated logic module.
The detectors are remote-controllable which offer end users a wide range of options and there are also free programmable buttons for special functions. B.E.G. has made it possible for the communication to work bi-directionally which allows an easy data upload from the sensor.
