BZL Lauterbach Organises KNX Competition for Apprentices at Light+Building 2014

In the workshop street at Light+Building 2014 on stand D18 in Hall 9.1 BZL Lauterbach, the Education and Technology Center of Electrical and Information Technologies will be running a competition where KNX/EIB building management tasks have to be solved in a limited time.

The KNX/EIB competition is conducted by the BZL Lauterbach on behalf of FEHR (Professional Association for Electrical Engineering and Information Technology Hessen/Rheinland – Pfalz).

In a building, the lighting, blinds and heating can be controlled with modern building control based on KNX/EIB and thus provide a high degree of functionality, comfort and safety. To illustrate the efficient use of energy, existing measurement data can be displayed by visualization components in the building.

The competition task will require components and features of the building installation to be added to make the configuration and parameterization and commissioning of various components in the KNX/EIB system.

Who can participate?

Trainees from Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate from Year 1 of training in apprenticeships in the trades for electrical and information engineering crafts.

The prizes

For the first three winners of Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate

1st Prize: €700, – €
2nd Prize : €500, – €
3rd Prize : €300, – €

The prizes are provided by The Hessian Ministry of Economics, Transport and Regional Development (for trainees from Hessen) Professional Association for Electrical Engineering and Information Technology Hessen/Rheinland-Pfalz (for trainees from Rhineland-Palatinate)

All participants receive a voucher for a ETS4 Lite license. In addition, the first three winnersof Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate each obtain a voucher for a ETS4 Professional. The vouchers for the ETS 4 licenses are provided by the KNX Association.

And all participants who have completed at least 8 tasks in the workshop section (participation is confirmed by the respective company), participate in a raffle.
