With smart homes becoming more common, modern building automation without KNX is unimaginable. More and more users want to be able to adjust lighting, blinds and temperature settings wherever they are with their smartphone or tablet. Theben theServa S110 is the high-performance all-round solution comprising of server hardware, set-up software and an easy-to-use app.
The functional principle is simple: After set-up using Windows software (free from theben.de) via the KNX system integrator, simply download the free iOS app from the iTunes Store or the Android app from Google Play. After registering the user on the server, all settings are transferred to the smartphone or tablet and can be used immediately. theServa boasts extremely short reaction times since only KNX group addresses, logic connections and time switches are saved on the server and no graphics are transferred from it, data appears on the screen practically in real time. New settings also work without any noticeable delay.
Energy consumption can be shown in graph form on the intuitive user interface. Load management ensures automatic shutdown when thresholds are exceeded. The colours of the RGB LEDs can be conveniently mixed using the mode dial and then saved. Integrated logic, scene and sequence modules make it possible to combine individual programmes. With the tim switch function individual time programs can be set for each zone. Current weather data and forecasts can also be seamlessly linked via weather stations such as the Theben Meteodata KNX. theServa also allows for the integration of IP cameras and offers alarm management with automatic SMS reports (only on iPad).
