ekinex Expands its KNX Product Range for HVAC Applications


ekinex®, the Italian SBS brand focused on the manufacturing of KNX devices, is expanding its range of HVAC solutions. The ekinex® KNX product range includes pushbuttons with thermostat function, room temperature controllers (also with humidity sensor) for many different applications, touch-displays, actuators / controllers for fancoil and electrothermal actuators, controllers for mixing groups as well as gateways to other HVAC standard protocols (Modbus, BACnet and M-Bus) and a supervision system with an user-friendly App to control and monitoring the whole home automation system with mobile devices (iOS or Android operating system). All devices are ideal for both new and existing buildings in order to increase energy efficiency keeping a high level of comfort.

4-fold pushbutton with thermostat (FF series)
4-fold pushbutton (max. 8 independent bus functions), with integrated room temperature controller, for on/off switching of loads, dimming of lighting devices, control of blinds / shutters or other programmable bus functions. To be completed with square or rectangular rockers (in plastic, aluminium or Fenix NTM®). Optional frame of form or flank series (in plastic or aluminium). Integrated temperature and brightness sensors. Configurable LEDs available in two colour combinations (blue / green or white / red). Wall-installation on round flush-mounting box. Powered by the KNX bus.

Room temperature controller (FF series)
2-point (ON / OFF) or proportional (PWM or continuous) room temperature regulation in combination with KNX-actuators. Heating and cooling seasonal modes with local or via bus changeover. 4 operating modes: comfort, standby, economy and building protection with separate setpoints for heating and cooling. Setting range of temperature can be limited. Device provided with sensors for temperature and brightness measuring (optionally also for relative humidity), two freely configurable inputs, a LC-display with adjustable backlight and configurable LEDs available in two colour combinations (blue / green or white / red). Wall- installation on round flush-mounting box. Powered by the KNX bus.

Room temperatur controller (71 series)

Control and visualisation unit for switching, controlling and displaying bus functions. 3,5” touch-screen, user interface with a sequence of graphical pages: home (direct access to the other pages), room temperature controller (up to 4 independent zones), switching and control, calendar, meteo information, multimedia, service functions (presence simulation, timer, alarms). Wall-installation on round flush-mounting box. Powered by the KNX bus, auxiliary 30Vdc power supply needed.

Delégo
Supervision system for control and monitoring of an ekinex® home automation system using an App and a mobile device (smartphone and tablets) equipped with Apple iOS or Android operating system. System hardware based on a dedicated platform (PC powered by an Intel Celeron Dual Core microprocessor) equipped with an Ethernet port which must be connected to the user’s local area network (LAN) and a USB dongle containing the activation system. Connection of KNX devices through IP interface or IP router. Optional IR gateway to integrate and manage up to 4 infrared devices such as TV, audio and multimedia devices.


Fancoil actuator / controller
Actuator (in combination with a KNX room temperature controller) or controller / actuator (with acquisition of the temperature value by a KNX sensor or by a sensor connected to an analog input). Versions for 3-speed or 0…10V fan control, installation in 2-pipe or 4-pipe hydraulic distribution systems. ON / OFF control of an electrothermal actuator on a shut-off valve. Outputs not used for controlling a fan coil unit can be configured as outputs to carry out other functions. Mounting in distribution board on EN 60715 rail (4 modular units).

Actuator / controller 8-fold for electrothermal valve drives
Actuator (in combination with a KNX room temperature controller) or controller / actuator (with acquisition of the temperature value by a KNX sensor). For 2- and 4-pipe hydraulic distribution systems with 8 TRIAC outputs for ON/OFF control of electrothermal actuators or servomotors for zone valves. Mounting in distribution board on EN 60715 rail (4 modular units).


Controller for mixing group
Control of a servomotor for mixing valve (3 floating points or with 0…10V signal). Control of a circulating pump. Acquisition of delivery and return temperatures (conveying fluid) and external temperature (air). Regulation of the delivery temperature of the conveying fluid with regulation modes selectable separately for heating and cooling. Mounting in distribution board on EN 60715 rail (8 modular units).

PLC CODESYS with KNX interface
Programmable logic controller in CODESYS* environment for the execution of complex regulation and control programs in addition to those available in the standard KNX devices. Integrated interface to the KNX bus and USB port for programming. Mounting in distribution board on EN 60715 rail (4 modular units).

Gateway Modbus – KNX
Protocol conversion between a Modbus RTU network and a KNX (TP) bus system. Available for serial RS485 or TCP / IP Modbus RTU networks. Master function on the Modbus network. Mounting in distribution board on EN 60715 rail (4 modular units).

Gateway BACnet – KNX
Protocol conversion between a BACnet* network and a KNX (TP) bus system. Available for MS / TP (master-slave / token-passed) or serial RS485 networks. Mounting in distribution board on EN 60715 rail (4 modular units).

Gateway M-Bus – KNX
Protocol conversion between a M-Bus network and a KNX (TP) bus system. Available for 20, 40, 80 and 160 M-Bus slave devices. Master function on the M-Bus network. Mounting in distribution board on EN

Configuration and commissioning with ETS®
Configuration and commissioning of ekinex® bus devices require ETS4 or later versions. ETS application programs are available in English, French, German and Italian. A detailed description of the parameters can be found in the application manual of the devices
