The Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology fair is set to hold its 14th edition from 9 – 12 June 2017. Located in Hall 6.1 of Area A at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, the fair will host over 180 industry-leading suppliers from around the world.

The fair has drawn attention from notable industry associations and enterprises. Concurrent seminars gather expert speakers to share latest development trends and market intelligence

A key highlight of the 2017 fair is the full schedule of reputable events welcoming influential speakers from the industry to deliver important insights. Backed by numerous industry associations, the fair has organised more than 13 seminars evolving around two themes: intelligent building and smart home standards, and intelligent buildings, smart homes and smart hotels.

Intelligent Building and Smart Home Standards

Supported by well-known domestic and overseas standards organisations, the Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology fair will bring back popular forums on intelligent building and smart home standards to share the latest development trends. The forums aim to enhance communication between different standards and systems, as well as strengthening the integration of new technologies and Internet of Things (IoT). Topic: Bluetooth – Making the Smart Home Accessible to Everyone 
Bluetooth SIG and two member companies, TELINK and Dorlink will cooperate to examine how the characteristics of Bluetooth 5 facilitate smart home development. Another highlight is the presentation of compatible devices developed by HomeKit and smart lock solutions.

By presenting EnOcean self-powered wireless standard IEC/ISO 14543-3-1X, building professionals will illustrate how to enhance the comfort level, promote intelligentisation, drive energy saving and reduce the production cost of smart and cognitive buildings at minimum cost.

The seminar will offer a comprehensive overview on international communication standards for building and home control systems, as well as illustrate means to improve energy performance. Smart home and building control – which integrate the concepts of green buildings, smart grids and smart meters – will create huge development potential.

Topic: LonMark International Empowers Intelligent Control Networking Solutions: New Technology Advancements for Building Automation and Smart Cities
With development of LonMark as the focus, the forum will discuss the application of building automation and smart city, which includes intelligent street lighting and other case studies.

The Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology show, along with the concurrently held Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition, is headed by the biennial Light + Building event. The next edition of Light + Building will take place from 18 – 23 March 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Messe Frankfurt also offers a series of other light and building technology events worldwide, including the Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology (SIBT), Shanghai Smart Home Technology (SSHT) and the Shanghai International Lighting Fair (SILF).
