In October Deloitte Belgium announced this year’s winners of the Technology Fast50 competition. Basalte won this competition in the category ‘Clean Tech & Energy’ and ended third in the overall competition.
The Deloitte Technology Fast50 competition is an annual competition that honours the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the Benelux. This competition was created to encourage and to promote fast-growing technology companies in the Benelux. This year was the first Belgian edition. The fifty nominated Belgian companies were divided into four categories: IT & Digital Solutions, Clean Tech & Energy, Biotech, Nanotech & Medtech en Internet, Media & Telecom.
Basalte won in the category ‘Clean Tech & Energy’ because of their continuous investment in innovative and energy efficient concepts. Basalte creates design products for home automation that add comfort to the modern home in an energy efficient way. “Our products do not only have a pure and timeless design, but also contribute to the energy-efficiency of the modern home”, says Klaas Arnout, managing director of Basalte. The young Belgian company also ended third in the overall competition for the 50 fastest growing companies of Belgium. This victory gives Basalte an extra boost to carry on with the same enthusiasm for its products and to further develop as a company.
