For the first time, MBS is presenting its complete range of products for building automation solutions at its own booth at the Frankfurt Light + Building trade fair in hall 9. The presented products will include the three Multi universal gateways, each with two integrated protocol hardware adapters in one compact device. These are the adapters PROFINET+M-Bus, PROFINET+KNX or PROFINET+LON. The integrated adapters make the usual external bus couplers unnecessary, reducing the wiring required. The gateways can also be connected faster to serial or network-based communication protocols.
Integrated M-Bus driver
With the integrated M-bus driver, it is possible to automatically scan the M-bus meters. The M-Bus configuration can then be generated largely automatically via the web interface. Depending on the gateway, it is possible to generate BACnet, PROFINET and also Modbus configurations from the detected M-Bus data points.
Other exhibits from the MBS universal gateway series are the models with one protocol hardware adapter each (such as KNX, LON, M-Bus or PROFINET). They also ensure extraordinary flexibility. With numerous communication protocols available – including BACnet – the MBS gateways offer the right solution for almost every requirement. Manufacturer-specific protocols can also be implemented on request.
BACeye 2.0
The brand new version BACeye 2.0 will also be presented. This tool from MBS provides BACnet users with easy access to BACnet devices and their objects and properties. To professionally commission and operate installations based on the BACnet communication protocol, the latest version of BACeye has been upgraded with some important new functions. Furthermore, the BACnet explorer BACeye 2.0 now supports BACnet Protocol Revision 14.
Together with partner vyzVoice
A partner at the MBS booth is the Luxembourg-based company vyzVoice – both companies have shared a close strategic partnership since the beginning of 2015. This pan-European company has a vision: to make the big data world easy to understand and use for everybody – all via a cost-effective and user-friendly platform with attractive user interfaces. The new gateway series “vyzVoice” came about through cooperation with MBS and vyzVoice. Their software improves the big data platform, as do the experiences of the end users. The joint complete solutions enable automatic provision, automatic device detection and multiple levels of data encryption and security.
Reliable building automation
This year’s trade fair appearance by MBS also focuses on the topic of security in building automation. Together with the Fraunhofer FKIE, MBS is working on the project “Building Automation Reliable Network Infrastructure” (BARNI). The objective of this development is to improve the reliability and security properties of building automation with new hardware and software components based on the BACnet protocol.
MBS also supports the special presentation “Digital Building” at open-air site 11 (between halls 8, 9 and 11), where visitors can see the future of building digitization technologies for themselves.
Come and see us in hall 9, booth B66 on March 13–18, 2016!
