System integrator Dynamitec from Gent won the Belgian KNX Innovation Award in 2016. The award was presented at the KNX Belgium networking meeting at the Thomas More College in St. Katelijne-Waver. The remodelling of a house into two separate units with a residential care character and a comprehensive KNX installation in both units with a care function, led to the recognition of the project. Both the house and the technique, are fully tuned here to the living comfort of the residents, so that both parties can live independently. Several functions are automated and linked within the KNX installation, including energy measurement, electrical appliances, heat pump, access by fingerprint reader and fire protection.
Jury President Jan Derua had the honour to present the KNX Innovation Award 2016 to Dynamitec’s representatives Xavier Musschoot and Yuri Thiré. The second prize went to Luc Vercruyssen from the company CDI Projects. The project from CDI Projects distinguished itself as an industrial project, and was a brewery where control and process monitoring was carried out via KNX.
