The fast-moving world of smart buildings is continuing to develop as ‘smart’ begins to embrace even more aspects of how technology can be used to optimise buildings – and the latest advances will be under discussion at this year’s Smart Building Conference. A one-day, twin-track event, it’s a must-attend for anyone working, or looking to work, in the smart offices or smart homes market. In 2018, over 400 delegates took advantage of the opportunity.
A theme of particular interest will be how the working environment can be a source of competitive advantage when it comes to hiring and retaining the best employees. Also under review will be the transformative opportunities – in both the home and office – presented by technologies such as AI, VR and speech.
“In each of its eight years, the Smart Building Conference has reflected the rapid rate of change in the market with new themes, new topics and new speakers – and the 2019 event will be no different,” says Bob Snyder, who chairs the conference. “This year, our theme will be ‘Making Buildings Smart, Making Smart Buildings’ and we’ll be examining how all stakeholders can work together to use technology to make homes, offices and commercial buildings smarter and better for everyone.”
