Finder Offers its 18 Series of Indoor and Outdoor Movement and Presence Detectors

Technology, company know-how and ‘Made in Italy’ design and manufacture are factors that distinguish Finder movement detectors from all the rest. The range consists of devices designed to meet all manner of installations, while looking great in their setting.

By installing the Finder 18 Series devices, security is enhanced and energy-saving is assured. These detectors are triggered by movement within the detection area, thus limiting the activation of the lights to only when the space is occupied.

Based on the installation needs, Finder offers three types of devices:

  • indoor movement and presence detectors (Types 18.51, 18.5D, 18.5K and 18.4K);
  • indoor presence detectors (Types 18.61, 18.51, 18.91, 18.41, 18.31, 18.21, 18.01);
  • movement detectors for outdoor applications (Types 18.11 and 18.A1).

Finder movement detectors are available in programmable versions via KNX, DALI or Bluetooth technology. The movement detectors with KNX technology (Types 18.5K and 18.4K) are programmable via a dedicated interface. These devices are adjustable from 1 lx… 1500 lx, and with a Light OFF delay ranging from 0.1 s to 18 h. They are suitable for ceilings, false ceilings and can be recessed mounted.

Each of the devices in the range boasts functions suitable for specific applications. Among the most used functions are:

  • ‘Simplicity’: standard movement and presence detector functions;
  • ‘Courtesy’: to ensure minimum continuous lighting (at 10%) when no movement is detected. Available for devices with DALI technology;
  • ‘Comfort’: Finder detectors are designed to switch on the light(s) at the right time in order for users to enjoy unprecedented comfort.
  • ‘On / off’ with two detection areas: ‘presence’ area suitable for areas with low activity by the occupants; ‘movement’ area suitable for transit areas or ones of greater activity. The devices with this function have a manual override feature.
  • ‘Delay time adjustment’ to optimize energy consumption by automatically turning off the lights after the last movement has been detected.
  • ‘Adjustment of the ambient light intervention threshold’ on the basis of the lux measured. This adjustment, valid for the entire range, allows the programming of the ambient light intervention threshold, preventing the lights from turning ON when the sensing area reaches a sufficient ambient light level.
