Preparations for the inaugural Smart Buildings 2015 taking place at the Birmingham NEC this October as part of UK Construction Week, are gaining momentum as the show releases details of its comprehensive seminar schedule.
Taking centre stage will be the Smart Buildings CPD Hub, which will offer valuable CPD points for visitors in a quality education programme provided by the event’s partners. Across the three days visitors will be able to pick from a wide variety of workshops and seminars, covering topics such as, smart building technology for architects, lighting design and control, wireless networking and building management systems.
In addition, high-level debates will discuss the key issues relevant to the sector, such as the role of Big Data, the benefits of smart meters, maintaining responsive systems and automation control.
Smart Buildings 2015 will also feature The Installer Zone designed to bridge the gap between active specifiers and buyers with recommended installers. The Installer Zone will contain an exclusive lounge for one-to-one meetings, supported by a dedicated web portal service for visitors to choose appointment times. Recommended installers will also be able to book discounted, ready-to-use exhibition stands in the immediate vicinity of the installer feature lounge.
As the only trade show dedicated to commercial and residential building technology in the UK, Smart Buildings 2015 has received an extremely positive response from the industry since its launch. Featuring over 2,000 square metres of exhibition space, the event will bring together sector specific exhibitors and more than 11,500 expected visitors including building design consultants, installers, specifiers, architects, engineers, end customers and construction professionals.
