German Design Award 2017
The German Design Award is the premium prize of the German Design Council: Since 2012, high-quality submissions from product and communication design have been awarded, all of which are pioneering in the international design landscape. The German Design Award thus ranks among the most recognized design competitions worldwide.
The competition places the highest demands on the determination of its award winners: the nomination procedure is to invite only those products and communication designs that are proven to stand out by their design quality.
The jury of the German Design Award is composed of designers from a wide range of disciplines. These come from business, education and science as well as from the design industry and are recognized capacities in their fields.
