Hello [NAME]
Happy new year to you and all of our readers! I hope you enjoyed the break and are ready for 2014.
Our first major event of the year is Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Amsterdam which opens in just two weeks. Our coverage so far can be seen on our Spotlight on ISE 2014 page, and we will be bringing you more news about this, as well as Light+Building of course, shortly. If you would like to attend ISE free of charge, saving the €60 on-site registration fee, use the code 919910 and register online now. We will also be producing a spotlight on Light+Building so if you are exhibiting at either event, send us your show news as soon as possible.
If this newsletter doesn't greet you by name, please complete our registration form to ensure that you continue to receive a free subscription every month. For regular updates on news and events, you can also follow us on our social networks (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest) or RSS feed.
Finally, I'd like to welcome Ivory Egg as a new Silver sponsor. We are able to provide free access to all of the KNXtoday resources thanks to the support of our sponsors and advertisers - so please take a look at what they have to offer.

We start 2014 with a great line-up of articles for all KNXers.
First is an article by Mike Blackman of ISE, who explains how the show has improved for visitors, what there is to see and do and how KNX is of growing importance to the show. Next, Tony Cha of KNX China gives a fascinating overview of how KNX is developing in his country. KNX China is full of energy and intends to make 'KNX' as popular an expression as 'iPhone'! This is followed by our ever-helpful Best Practice column by Simon Buddle of SMC, in which he discusses the need for remote access, how to do it, and what type of control to offer.
Next, we welcome Mark Warburton of Ivory Egg and his new Solutions column. In this issue, Mark explains why we should use IP for KNX, and gives a great technical overview with helpful tips. Our new Going Green column is headed by Jesús Arias García of KNXin, who provides some thought-provoking ideas on designing energy-efficient installations, and this is followed by our resident 'Mr Fix It', Dr KNX, who explains the benefits of ETS4 being 'open'.
Don’t forget that you can comment on any of these articles directly, at the end of the article, and don’t forget too, to send us a picture of you, wherever you may be, with the KNX logo and a smile for our Where is KNX? gallery.
