We start this month with a case study of the Hero Moto Corp motorcycle plant in Rajasthan, India, by Bhavesh Doshi of Entelechy Systems. The sheer ambition of this construction, called The Garden Factory, to be green and pleasant for its workers is awesome, with KNX playing a central role in a unified lighting system that had to scale across two massive buildings.

Next, our regular columnist, Simon Buddle, discusses why KNX is ideal for providing intelligent, individualised metering for centralised services in small apartment blocks, with some useful references and examples of devices.

After having explained previously how to sell KNX, specify it, choose the right products and documentation, Mark Warburton of Ivory Egg gives some great advice on the commissioning and installation process. And finally, Paul Foulkes of EchoHouse looks at why passivhaus buildings can further benefit from KNX for controlling active elements for even more energy savings.
