Hello [NAME]
This has been a big week for KNX: the 7th of May marked its 25th anniversary, and the National Group USA was launched at the LIGHTFAIR International show in New York. We'll bring you more on both of these landmark events shortly, and you can watch the '25 years of KNX' video here. We'd like to congratulate the KNX Association and the whole KNX community for this
success.

Our articles this month start with a country profile of the UAE by Taj Kollara, Secretary of KNX Middle East. This is followed by our regular columnist Simon Buddle, who explains why KNX Partners may want to get more involved with the plant room in order to ensure that their clients have the most efficient heating system. The heating theme is continued by our other regular, Nikita Thompson, who presents us with Part 2 of her series on heating control using KNX. This covers control within thermostats, the modes they use, and two-stage control.
In an exclusive interview, Di Stickland, President of KNX UK, gives us her views on the role of KNX in the UK market, and this is followed by Part 1 of Chris Topham's series on protecting buildings from cyber attack. In this issue, Chris looks at KNX installations and how to ensure that they are secure. And finally, George Lazos gives some excellent tips on efficient ways to link group objects and group addresses. Indeed we welcome suggestions/contributions to our 'How to Solve it' column, so if you would like to share some of your expertise to benefit the industry as a whole, please get in touch.
Don’t forget that you can comment at the end of these articles, and do remember to send us a picture of you, wherever you may be, with the KNX logo and a smile for our 'Where is KNX?' gallery. Enjoy!
