Hello [NAME]
We start the month with a case study by Danny Lawless of ARK M&E of a residential block in London. Danny explains the compelling reasons why, as part of a large building group, ARK M&E has brought KNX in-house, and how it was used in a modular way for the 89 apartments involved in this project.
As the days get shorter, Simon Buddle of Future Ready Homes talks about lighting scenes using KNX, including the benefits of using templates in ETS and allowing the customer to adapt scenes. As always, Simon provides some great practical and business advice.
If you thought power supplies were of limited discussional value, think again! Mark Warburton of Ivory Egg takes us on a fascinating tour of some KNX PSUs, pointing out special features and considerations along the way.
And finally, Dries Verbrugge of KNX Association provides a concise overview of where we are with KNX and the IoT, and the road ahead. Dries explains how systems could comprise a mix of KNX IoT-capable devices and classic KNX devices using gateways, and goes on to outline the steps necessary for a full KNX IoT solution.
