Hello [NAME]
The festive season is upon us, so we bring you some great reading to catch up on over the holidays. We start with a case study by George Petalidis of installers Katsidonis Pantelis & Sia of a two-hotel project in Rhodes, Greece, that involved KNX control of lighting and air-conditioning. Not only has this resulted in an impressive level of control for the hotel, guests and on-going maintenance/monitoring, but great energy savings too.
Simon Buddle of Future Ready Homes then looks at the business side of projects, starting right at the beginning with some excellent advice on quoting and project monitoring, including tips on relevant software packages.
Security of systems against hackers is always going to be a hot subject, and Mark Warburton of Ivory Egg gives a fascinating overview of the different levels of security available using KNX, again with some useful tips and advice.
Our articles are rounded off with a show report on the recent Thai Building Fair, by Daniele Caso and Giangiacomo Pastore of Eelectron. It all looks very positive for the global growth of KNX!
We also have plenty of news at the website, as well as the resources section which is packed full of useful documents and videos. All that remains is for me to thank you all for your contributions this year, your feedback, the support of our sponsors and some great pictures for our 'Where is KNX?' gallery. Keep them coming, have a merry Christmas, happy holidays and we'll see you in the new year!
