Hello [NAME]
Welcome to the festive edition of KNXtoday!
Our first year is coming to an end, and we want to thank you for your contributions, encouragement and support, all of which has seen KNXtoday go from strength to strength! We have great expectations of KNX for 2014 - the word is spreading and more and more people are getting involved. We have some exciting articles scheduled for the new year and some new columnists coming on board too. We're also interested in hearing from you - so whether you are new to KNX or an old hand, if you have a project that you would like us to feature, or some news that you would like to tell us about, do get in touch.
I would like to draw your attention to our spotlight on ISE 2014 that takes place in Amsterdam at the beginning of February. To attend ISE free of charge, saving the €60 on-site registration fee, use the code 919910 and register online now. KNX will be represented there, and we will be bringing you more news about this in the run up to the show. We will also be producing a spotlight on Light+Building so if you are exhibiting at either event, send us your show news as soon as possible.

Our articles for December kick off with a Going Green column by Jesús Arias García of KNXin, who makes the case for using KNX on projects that involve on-site energy production. Our Best Practice column by Simon Buddle of SMC discusses why HVAC should be integrated within one user interface along with other functions such as light and shade control. The Country Profile, by Andrey Golovin, gives a frank and enlightening overview of KNX in Russia, while the subject of our interview this month is the KNX award-winning Julio Díaz of Sapienx Automation. Our resident 'Mr Fix It', Dr KNX, explains what a useful function the ETS4 Assistant is, and finally, Zoltan Karpathy of BSRIA treats us to some highlights of a new study on the smart home market in North America.
Don’t forget that you can comment on any of these articles directly, at the end of the article, and don’t forget too, to send us a picture of you, wherever you may be, with the KNX logo and a smile for our Where is KNX? gallery.
