Hello [NAME]
The end of the year is fast approaching and on reflection, it has been another impressive year for KNX: from the Association's turnout at the Light+Building show, to the launch of ETS5 with its easier integration of wireless components, and of course its continuing internationalisation. To get you in the festive spirit you can play the KNX Advent Calendar game with a chance to win KNX devices, Apps and ETS5 licenses each day.
We have some exciting articles scheduled for 2015 and we want to hear from you - whether you are new to KNX or an old hand, if you have a project that you would like us to feature, or some news that you would like to tell us about, do get in touch.

Our articles this month start with the last instalment of the three part-series by Ben Lewis of KNX Consultants on the practicalities of refurbishing his office with KNX. In Part 3, Ben deals with the higher-level energy management and automation functions. This is followed by Simon Buddle of Future Ready Homes with some excellent advice on incoming power control and protection. Next, KNXin's Jesús Arias García gives us food for thought by arguing that KNX products must become affordable in order to gain mass appeal, especially in emerging markets.
Sophie Thomas of Ivory Egg then makes the case for including security in your project specifications, and this is followed by Jan Magnus of EIBKon, who explains how to solve the issue of motion and presence detection in a bypass situation. Finally, Gwenaël Leroutier of Hager France tells us about the recent 'Shake my KNX' competition that put KNX engineers to the test with a range of unusual challenges.
Don’t forget that you can comment at the end of these articles, and do remember to send us a picture of you, wherever you may be, with the KNX logo and a smile for our 'Where is KNX?' gallery. Enjoy!
