YasminHashmiOur articles this month start with a case study by Franco A. Bonutto of Soltris Gebäudesystemtechnik on a system for lighting, shading and HVAC control for an office building in Switzerland that resulted in 30% energy savings. This is followed by our regular columnist Simon Buddle, who looks at opportunities for KNX professionals to get involved with lighting designers who need to control LED, and how KNX/DALI gateways offer a good solution.

In the final part of her series on heating control using KNX, Nikita Thompson takes us through the practicalities of designing and controlling under-floor heating, and gives some very useful tips on all aspects of the design and installation. For those interested in guarding installations against cyber attack, in the final part of his series on security, Chris Topham offers some excellent advice on enhancing the protection of your building management systems.

Don’t forget that you can comment at the end of these articles, and do remember to send us a picture of you, wherever you may be, with the KNX logo and a smile for our 'Where is KNX?' gallery. Enjoy!
